The SATIR GF5000 thermal camera has been designed to be used in extremely warm environments where firefighters or fire safely personnel may work. If a firefighter is spending a short amount of time in a warm environment the camera can operate in temperatures of 55°C to +260°C and if they spend a long time in the warm environment the camera can operate in temperature conditions of -20°C to +55°C. The camera has a 384x288 IR detector which delivers video and images from 110,592 pixels to the end-user's screen. It has a long battery life of 5 hours which means it can be used for extended periods when on-call for fire emergencies.
The GF5000 has two temperature strips one is static to be used for reference and the other is used to indicate a sudden change in the temperature. The GF5000 has been designed based on USA NFPA standards, meaning that it is ergonomic, made from heat resistance materials, real-time operation and has IP67 encapsulation meaning it is waterproof and dustproof.
